Julian Mariano is a Southern California native with an affinity for woodworking, fishing and climbing. His early days were spent on summer road trips with his family, monthly outings with the Boy Scouts, and being told, “No power tools while we’re gone,” by his devoted parents. As he progressed through his teenage years, Julian continued to forge his passion for the outdoors via backpacking and high-Sierra fly fishing trips with his father, uncle and cousins. At seventeen, he became a second-generation Eagle Scout and left for college at Sonoma State University shortly thereafter. Julian graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in physics with a minor in mathematics. He now spends most of his time building things, working at REI, and adventuring whenever possible.
